Scheurich Keramik was founded in 1927 by Alois Scheurich and Fridolin Greulich as a wholesale distributor of ceramics and glass. The company later established its own factory in 1954 and became known for mass-producing decorative, mid-century modern pottery with vibrant glazes, such as the iconic "Fat Lava" style. The company was highly successful and a major exporter, and it continues to produce ceramics and plant pots today.
